dgn.V7 file

I have been working on Microstation for a few years now and found files on my computer that I though were strange.

The files were all filename.dgn.V7

The files were in the following location:
C:\Program Files\Bentley\Workspace\Projects\Examples\General\out

This is a problem because the computer I work on needs to be secure. I cannot have files saving in locations that I don’t know about.

So my question is, why does Bentley save files in that location? And why in that format?

Personally I would check some of your workspace preferences and configuration settings to see if the file path is listed.
