Diaphragm seal

Hi,
With regards to methanol, is it normal practice to install a diaphragm seal between the process connection and a pressure gauge?

Yes, if/when the bourdon tube breaks, you don't want a loss of primary containment of a highly flammable liquid.

Thanks for the reply. I also thought it would be required. I have been reviewing a specification that says NA for diaphragm seals.
