Diesel and petrol boiling pressure? 1

Please can anyone help me by indicating the boiling pressure of petrol and diesel which are used in cars,at normal temperature of 20°C?
Any help is appreciated.

Find your BP at atmospheric (middle line, set the LH to 20C and read off the RH scale.

Petrol is a bit hard as it's BP at atmospheric conditions is normally < 100C.

Do you have the capability of doing the experiment yourself? What you would need is a vacuum pump (listed type for petrol)and a vacuum guage or you could have a certified lab do the experiment for you.

You'll first have to identify the component that represents the most volatile 0.5% v/v or 1% v/v of this product. Then use the link Little Inch has provided to get the sat vap pressure of this component at 20degC.

You certainly don't want the "boiling pressure" of these liquids at 20 deg C as they are not boiling at 20 deg C. What you are looking for is the vapor pressure. Gasoline blendss are classified by their Reid Vapor Pressure (RVP). The EPA publishes allowable RVP by location and time of year. They allow higher RVP in the winter because the temperatures are lower. Higher RVP helps cold starting.
