Diesel in storage truck temperature

I am trying to calculate the temperature change with time for diesel left in a storage tank overnight in cold weather.

What do I need to know? and is there a standard formula or program?

The tank is made of Alminum, volume stored is about 6000 liters, tank dimensions are 6.75 m long, 2.3 m wide and 1.92 m high.

Unless you are willing to tackle "secondary boundary differential equations", just know that the diesel temperature will in fact, without a doubt, approach and equal the lowest ambient air temperature. Always has, always will......

Somewhere in this forum I had asked about water in a tank, but mine was very insulated.

However, I might be able to assist you in this easy fact, Aluminum being one of the better heat transfer materials, and where I live (above the 49th parallel) and the temp. (MINUS -40) 6 months of the year, water in the same container, would freeze in 2 hours.
