I'm still a "newbie" with Pro first off. What exactly is the difference between the appearance.dmt and the color.map files. I'm running Wildfire build 170. I know the appearance.dmt file is what's read in order to change colors of the parts but I'm confused as to what the pro_colormap_path option is doing for me in the config.pro file. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jeff

I'm using Wildfire too, but haven't used it for long. In 2001, the color.map file stores all of your custom colors in a palette so you don't have to recreate them when you need them. the pro_colormap_path would tell proE where the color.map file is so it reads it in automatically whenever you load proE. I have a palette of custom colors available every time I load proE, and it is very handy.
