Can you be more specific? Which type of differences are important to you (performance, cost, etc)?
 
A desiccant dryer uses a desiccant to dry the air. A membrane dryer uses a membrane. Clear enough? That is the answer to your question. Now if you would let us know what the goal of your question is, we might be able to actually be helpful.
