In a 400 kV Substation, the corona calculations yields that quad conductors should be used, but the square configuration seems a bit difficult with clamps and connectors, if we use a flat configuration with modified corona calculations for the bundle radius (not much difference) keeping in mind the clearance between phases outer sub-conductors, would this be fine? or any special thing with the square configuration?
