mandarkardekar, see your previous post: thread794-404973, there is no difference in the actual joint itself.
Apx 5 does not provide rules for calculation of stresses and other quantities of interest, only for allowables, fabrication and so forth. TEMA presents an FEA method, but does not appear to set allowables or address fabrication. I have not read RCB 8 closely however.

The problem with sloppy work is that the supply FAR EXCEEDS the demand
