differences between linear & nonlinear magnets

Hello,

I would like to ask which are the main differences and with which criteria, except the economic and the field we want to have,we choose either linear or non-linear magnets? Typically this things are provided by the magnet companies without any explanation.


or is there any recommendation web sites explain these differences?

I'm guessing you mean a material with a linear/nonlinear 2nd quadrant BH curve.

One does not choose whether to use a linear or non-linear magnet, that's how a particular material behaves. As an engineer, you choose which material will perform the way you want (as long as economics allow).

This is a fundamental property of magnetic materials.
 
having to do with there demagnetized B-H curve.
