Please forgive my ignorance:

Is there way to have multiple lineweights for the same layer, in different layout windows? That is, say I have a "contour" layer and I want it to be dark on one sheet, but light on the next, is that possible to do in the same drawing?

My cad folks tell me it's not possible and insist this is a valid reason for having individual files for each sheet. I constantly argue for all sheets to be in one drawing.

I'm using LD 2007 if that matters. Thanks in advance.

jthompson,

but on different layout tabs it is possible. Use different *.ctb.

Yes you can.

Every object in a given drawing has a line weight property. You can edit individual lines using the properties icon or the properties toolbar. This has been a true fact through at least back to version 2000, perhaps back to version 14.
