different memory(ram) needs

Hi guys,
first of all, thanks in advance.

The problem:
I have a job that when I try to run on my pc (i7, 20gb of ram) it asks for 12gb of ram (estimated) and it is able to finish the job.
Then when I try to run the same job on a cluster(over 60gb of ram), it aborts saying that a memory limit of 40000mb is not sufficient.

Why is this happening, does it make any sense?
If yes, what can I do to overcome this problem?

You probably have to request the RAM from your cluster, ask your technician/sysdev.
You could try setting e.g. memory='10000mb' in the abaqus execution too.
