Hello,
Using Wildfire 5.0
What is the best way to have multiple representations of a subassembly show as one line item in a BOM and have the quantity show correctly?
What I have now is a bolt in "Position A" in Subassembly 1, and a bolt in "Position B" on Subassembly 2. Other than that, both subassembly's are identical. The first file name is "Subassembly", the second being "Subassembly_2". I have a relation set that states:
if asm_mbr_name=="Subassembly_2"
PARTNO=Subassembly
This still shows as 2 line items (with the same part number) in the BOM.
Is there a way to combine these, or a better way to accomplish this? I have also tried having one part with a parameter set to change the bolt position and made the subassembly flexible in the top level assembly, but this created problems (could not create ballons to this flexible part).
Thanks in advance.
