Hello

While dimensioning a drawing, the dimensions have " (inch) symbol next to them. How can I remove that?

Also, for fractional dimensions, e.g. 1/2, how do I display the fraction as, well I am not sure how to show it in this post, like 1 over 2, or such that 2 is "under" 1, i.e. with a horizontal bar, not /

Hope this is clear!!!!!
Thanks

did you try these settings:
Tools
Doc Prop (tab along the top)
Units
Length Units (should be set to inches)
(*)Decimal ( )Fractions
This should work

Macduff [spin]
Meggitt Airdynamics Inc.
Dell Precision 370
SW2004 Pro SP4.1
XP Pro SP2.0
NIVIDA Quadro FX 1300

I tried that. But it still shows up as 1/2, not like I want. Also, the symbol " appears, which I don't want.

What you desire is not following any established drafting practices, such as:

ANSI
ISO
DIN
JIS
BSI
GOST
GB

SolidWorks will not do this.
