dimension line behavior

See the dim line right over top of the frame?
Can I make this go away some how?

I only need to shorten one side... I can do both side using the styles... But not one side at a time.

Did you try adding the GD&T symbol as Appended Text to the Dimension using the Annotation Editor?

Ha, I didn't even know you could do that in the text annotation editor. I saw the feature control frame button and figured that was it!!!
