I have a CatV5 problem in drafting. I have set the length parameters in tools/options to work in inches, however when I make a dimension it still gives me the value in mm. How do I change this? Also how do I change my precision so that all values show at least 3 decimal places?

this has been asked many times before - do a search for more answers.

First of all, CATIA dimensions do not recoginize the units - they have their own units designator.

The quickest way to get inch dimensions is to look at the toolbars along the top for something that says NUM.DINC (that means to display dimension numbers in "decimal inches." Change that to NUM.DIMM and you get decimal millimeters.

To get 3 decimal places, right beside the NUM.DIMM is another parameter for Precision (or round-off). Change this parameter to 0.001 for 3 decimal places.

Again, do a search for more ways to customize your drafting settings.
