Dimension Roundoff Error

I have a series of 8 points 9 3/32" apart, arranged horizontally. I measured the distance from each point and got the expected 9.09375" for each dimension. I then changed the dimension to fractional and set the rounding to 1/16". All of the dimensions changed to 9 1/8" except one, which changed to 9 1/16". What would cause this, and how do I control it?

I know I drew it correctly, because I used the offset command, and I check that the dimension was snapped to the correct point. All dimensions showed the same decimal value when rounded to 8 digits.

Your situation may not be so much in the drawing but on the dimensions you are putting on the drawing. You might try adjusting some of the settings (particularly the accuracy and round off) in the dimension style area (go to dimension pulldown, style, modify and then change settings there. Another posibility to check is your method of displaying dimensions on your drawing. If you use the chain method of dimensioning that can cause inacuaracies to build with each dimension on the chain, that is they would each go farther out of tolerance. That might explain why you only have that one dimension on the end givingyou the problem, you might try changing the tolerance settings or putting your dimensions in a stacking configuration.
