I have adjusted the settings, but cannot find the way to reduce the line spacing between the dimension
and the appended text that is below the dimension.
The only way that I can change that spacing is to reduce the appended text line spacing, but that squashes the appended text.
I am on NX6, and have attached a picture.
I think that this has been brought up previously, but I can't find that thread.
Any other suggestions are welcome.

Here is how I have adjusted it:
Customer Defaults -> Drafting -> General -> (choose standard to edit) -> Customize Standard -> Annotation -> Lettering -> Dimension/Appended Text Space

"Good to know you got shoes to wear when you find the floor." - [small]Robert Hunter[/small]

Rather then make it 'Appended Text', create the additional text as a separate note and associatively position it relative to the dimension using the 'stacking' option. Then you can control the distance between the dimension text and 'appended' text using the 'Spacing Factor' settings in the Annotation Preferences found on the tab labeled 'Stacking' (see attached image). This will only effect the distance between the dimension text and the entire text object without changing the line spacing inside the text object.
