I know this has probably been covered before but I really need some help with this.

I have given a drawing a dimension of lets say 14.5
It is showing 14.998 I have tried to change the precision it seems to cover the problem but doesnt fix it. Also I have been looking for a "exact" dimension setting in the standards with no luck. I am not sure how to fix this.
Any Ideas?

Don't fix the drafting, fix the model!

What release? There was a problem at one of the R17 releases that caused this in 3-D.

In the Drafting world, look to the orientation of the view - if the view is a little skewed it can cause this, as the geometry may be foreshortened.

does this happen on all your drawings?

does this happen with all dimensions on all views?

a screen shot would help!

I have found that setting the decimal precision to a minimum of 5 places helps eliminate this kind of problem. It may not be the answer to your problem, but FWIW...
