I think that I am correct in saying that V5 does not let you dimension to Section View/Cut Callouts. I have a compound angle hole inside a solid block and I need to do this. I managed to create a section view by creating a plane in the .part model and then selecting this to create the view.

For some reason, the dimensions command will not pick anything in the space window.

Does anyone have a work around?

On a similar note, does anyone know a method for projecting geometry from space to draw like the old V4 spc->drw command?

Thanks in advance.

For Item 1, I'm not sure. Can you dimension to the Hole that the section cut goes thru?

For Item 2 (Space to Draw), there is nothing Out of the Box. If it's wireframe, we make it visible, turn the 3-D Wireframe ON in the view. If you don't want to leave the wireframe visible in the PART, then Duplicate the geometry in the view, and then turn the 3-D Wireframe OFF. If we need to project some other solids, we create a new view of just the desired geometry, isolate it, and then transfer it into the desired view.
