dimensions

I'm working in Acad 14, I'm wanting to bring in a detail on my detail sheet. Now the detail i want has dimensions, so when i bring it in as a block, then try to explode it the demensions get all screwed up. my question to you is there to explode this block w/o getting crazy misaligned dimensions.

Screwed up in what way? Are they showing the correct dimension, but the arrows (or whatever you use) being shown as really big?
They probably just need to be updated once you explode.
If you have the correct dimensions set up in your new drawing, use "_dim" then "_update" and select everything (it only changes dimensions, so you can window the whole detail) It should change them all to the current style.
It also could be something else, but this is my best guess based on what info you provided.
