If the dimensions are associative (ie single objects that include the lines, arrows, text, etc) then all you have to do is change the dimension style. Try DDIM

Some facts.. AutoCAD does not know the difference between metric and inch. It counts 1 unit as 1 unit, that could be inches or millimeters. If you want to have you drawing measure correctly, you will need to scale all drawing entities. If the drawing presently measure 1 unit now as 1 inch, you will need to scale the drawing by 25.4 to have it measure 1 unit as 1 millimeter. Now dimensions are where AutoCAD knows the difference. When I measure between two points, you can have AutoCAD output 25.4 millimeters as the measurement, and to have a alternate dimension, the alternate dimension will be the measured dimension (25.4) multiplied by a ration (.03937) to get inches. You can keep the drawing in inches and have it measure millimeters by having the measured dimension be multiplied by a ratio (.03937) and have the alternate units be measured at 1:1 but remember, to do it this way means when you use the distance command it would measure inch units and not metric. IHTH.

Using AutoCAD Mechanical 2006, UGNX4, XPsp2, MSOffice 2K3
