DIN 546 (EU code) - Which is the alternative in the US?

In 35 years in the fastener business I've never seen those before today. Maybe have some machined up- it looks like a drill & tap, cutoff and slot.
 
Really? well here is their screw driver as well.

Its the first time i needed something like this and actually had to look for something different from a regular nut, and i came upon this slotted round nuts

Years ago I used to see these on thermostat adjusting screws on domestic irons for clothes.

They do have them but its a bit complicated to order from them you need a store account or something. Well I can do it but i do not expect my customers to go through this hassle to order 10 nuts.

You must be confused right now, what i am doing is am selling a product which will require this types of nuts and i was searching to find stores that sell them to direct my customers to. i hope this makes some sense
