I am trying to find the appropriate DIN specification that would specify the dimensions/tolerances/etc for flared tubing used in european automotive braking systems. Particularly I need to know the dimensions and tolerances for the DIN Convex Flare.

I found document DIN 74234 at ihs.com and techstreet.com but there is not enough information in the description to tell if it is the data I need.

Any help appreciated.
Thanks.

the DIN 74234 is the one you will need.
It describes the dimensions and tolerances of the inverted flare (Bördel E) and the convex flare (Bördel F)
for the tubing of outer diameter:
4,75 mm / 6,00 mm / 8,00 mm / 10,00 mm.
The most usual dimension is 4,75 mm.
Unfortunately the standard is strongly protected by copyright, but IHS is a very quick source.
You also will need the DIN 74233 part 1 for the flare nuts and part 2 for the bore-holes.
The tolerance js14 (outer diameter) is acc. DIN ISO 286-1:
3 ... 6 mm: ± 0,15 mm
6 ... 10 mm: ± 0,18 mm
10 ... 18 mm: ± 0,215 mm
With the DIN 74234 you will have now all the data you need for the end forming.
