I am performing a fatigue analysis (direct cyclic procedure) with XFEM crack growth. I would like to change modulus and strength of the material during the direct cyclic step after every cycle to simulate the oxidation process. I know the values of E and strength to attribute to the elements at each cycle and I would like to use a USDFLD subroutine to achieve this. Is it posible or do I have to use a UMAT? Do you have any hints about how to program such a subroutine?
