I am new and a student but I have a question. I can't seem to find what equipment is used for direct Impingement of Mos2. It's described as similar to sandblaster but can't be that simple? Where can I find the equipment to perform this process? Any help appreciated

Yes, a sandblaster would spray powdered MoS2...not sure what that would accomplish, other than spreading a lot of it in a hurry. Canned MoS2 spray is a thing, if you are trying to apply a film of it to a surface.

FWIW, I've used a small container and a paintbrush to apply powder to specific locations too.

Depends on the surface, and how much "sticking" you want. The spray comes in a solvent, and has a little bit of binder in it as well (I think) to help the moly adhere. Powdered MoS2 will "adhere" on metal and some plastics about like powdered graphite.
