I have a 60 watt battery charger / power supply. It converts 120 VAC input to 5 amps @ 12 VDC output. The electronics of the power supply are designed to safely charge a 12 volt 7 AH sealed lead acid or provide DC current to a PWM 12 VDC motor speed controller.
I wish to find the best and least expensive controls and wiring schematic method to perform the following isolated functions.
1) Just charge the battery from the converted power
source.
2) Just run the motor through the speed
controller from the converted power source.
3) Just run the motor through the speed
controller from the battery.
So far my control panel has a Fwd-Off-Rev toggle switch and a single turn potentiometer for motor speed control. Maybe a 3 position rotary switch wired in a particular manner is the way to go. Please advise at joemorrick@mediaone.net.
Thank you,
