Hi,
I'm modelling a beam in Abaqus with conventional shells and the properties are set with Composite Layup.
The faces are 45/-45 plies with a core material.
When viewing the stresses or strains in a composite material ie. S11 or S22 they are presented in the same direction as the material orientation decided in Composite Layup.
When choosing a specific ply, say a 45 degree ply, the S11 will be in the 1-direction respective to the material orientation.
My question is can I get stresses for a specific ply in other directions than the directions set in the material orientation?
Ie. I want to study the S11, S22 and S12 for one of the 45/-45 plies, but not in the 45/-45 directions.
Anyone got this and can help?
