Disappearing modules in N4W, version 4.0.2
For years I have been authorized to use Basis Analysis, Nonlinear statics, Nonlinear transient, Heat transfer and Dynamics. Suddenly, I lost the authorization to nonlinear transient, nonlinear static and heat transfer!
This is the message I received:
3060 *** USER FATAL MESSAGE 3060, SUBROUTINE ********* - OPTION **** NOT IN APPROVED LIST.
This option is not authorized for your authorization code. Contact your Local MSC office or representative for a list of options available. This option can be easily enabled with a contractual change on your present system and a new authorization code.
There may be a problem with the file that contains the authorization code. Refer to Section 7.7 of the Application Manual for a description and use of the file.
I have always had the full suite of solvers, and they all worked right up to the first of the new year.
Is this like the 4/1/2009 “problem” that stop the solver from running, unless you changed the system date to sometime before 4/1/2009?
MSC said they can’t help me, as I am using an old and unsupported product!
Can anyone help me?

Hi
It's been a while since I used N4W but a few thoughts.

What type of license do you have? Node-locked (dongle) or Network (Flex LM).

If you look in Help-About-Options, what authorization do you have?

Since MSC lost the rights to bundle Femap with Nastran N4W has not been a "living" product. So I don't think any single company can help you.
