Disassociate Model Item dimensions after inserting them in dwg

Wondering if there is a clean way to:
a) Disassociate drawing dims from the model after inserting them "automatically" via INSERT MODEL ITEMS

OR

b) Insert dimensions a different way, without doing manually, so that they are not associate to the model

Basically trying to QUICKLY (obviously I can do it manually) get dims in dwg views so that if I add text to a dim in the dwg, it does not show up in the model.

I have never seen text added to a dim in a dwg show in a model.
If it did, what would it hurt?
The entire purpose of SW being parametric is so something like dimensions are associated.
If you need the dims to be broken, manually do it to each dim.
