displacement in explicit

Hi,
I have a simple beam without any boundary condition. I have applied concentrated force with amplitude going from positive to negative direction. However the displacement I get goes in the positive direction only. How do I fix this?
I have my .cae file.
Please help me with this.

You have to completely constrain your beam before applying any loading.

Thank you, but i am confused about which constrain to use. I used rigid body constrain but it is still giving same response.

just constrain one end of your beam. e.g

Symmetry/Antisymmetry/Encastre

and choose Encastre. It constraints ALL DOF's for the chosen part of your beam. So no U1=U2=U3=UR1=UR2=UR3=0

This is for 3D, but same should apply if you use 2D.

If you apply load in the negative direction, it should have a negative sign infront of the number. e.g. U2=-1 with an amplitude of X and Time of Y.
