Is there a way to set the method to be Traditional by default? I looked through Customer Defaults and read the help, but didn't immediately find anything. When we switched from NX 9 to 11 relatively recently the default is now bulk edit. Would like to switch back to traditional without having to click the drop down every time. I am hoping that it's not set on a file by file basis because I have no control over the files sent to me by our customer.

Thanks,
Aaron

Anyone have a solution for this? I'd like to set the interaction method to Traditional by default instead of Bulk Edit.

I think it is controlled by dialog memory. Try changing the method to traditional then click on OK to close the dialog - when you reopen the dialog it should open in traditional mode.

You can save your favorite settings for any menu. You can do this when selecting the gear on the top left of the menu and select "Save Favorite As..."
[ol 1]
[li]Make all the settings you want as standard.[/li]
[li]Use "Save Favorite As..."[/li]
[li]give it a name[/li]
[/ol]

The name will now show up in the top of the list where you can select it.
Next time you open the dialog it should open with your favorite loaded (name will also show in the topbar).

Cowski, That seems to have done the trick. I must have have previously been hitting escape, cancel, or the X. I've shutdown and restarted NX. So far, the setting seems to be staying the way I want it

Mr. van den Broek, That's a neat feature I wasn't aware of. I can see where that would be handy for a lot of things in NX. I'll definitely keep that in mind!

Thanks to you both!

Aaron
