Does anyone know how to display the proper thread (UNJ vs UNC) on a drawing? I have added the threads using the Thread/Tap function but there is no option for minor diameter, class, pitch, etc... so I am not sure what the system default is (although I am sure that it is not what I want).

Also I noticed there is a button titled "standard" that seems to allow one to link to a file, does anyone have that file.

thank you

You don’t need a file, type in the threads information in the boxes using the “Standards” option & the thread will appear, as long as the thread box is checked in the “Properties/View/Dress-Up/Thread” menu of the drawing view you want them to be displayed in.

When I select on the "standards button" it pulls up a file selection dialogue box and wants me to select a .txt file but I have none to select. My thread options are limited to THD diameter and pitch (THDs/in), this may be because there is some CATIA package that you have and I don't, if so does anyone know what that package would be?

I don't have an issue displaying the THD on a drawing, my issue is that the thread minor diameter is not right so I have to fake the dashed line. I believe this is because CATIA default is for UNC THDs whereas I need UNJ.

Chose “No Standard”, and then proceed by filling in the boxes, it should work.

“Thread/Tap” command is for external threads; use the “Hole” command for internal threads.
