Hi guys,

I encountered an error using both SW 2009 and SW 2010. When trying to perform a simulation using SW Simulation, my display freezes after creating the mesh. Only the area showing the model freezes, the menu's do react. Has anybody else encountered this problem or knows what the problem could be? I tried reinstalling the program, but no use. :-(

Thanks in advance!

I work on a Dell Inspirion 6400 with Windows 7 (32 Bit) with the following specs:
T5600 on 1.83 GHz
2 GB RAM
ATI Radeon X1400 Graphics card with 128 MB dedicated and 767 MB shared memory

I could use the Cosmos with SW 2008 without problems.

Computer specs aren't great for simulation but I assume it is a simple model?

Did you do a clean install, i.e. remove all old traces manually?

Are you performing a "mesh and run" or is it just whenever you create a mesh. If it is the former then it could be a conflict with star..

I have run 2009 and 2010 on W7 w/o any problems.

I know the Dell 6400s are prone to graphics problems.. I have not used ATI cards but have heard only bad things about them. May not be the problem but I can't help much more, sorry.

Thanks for the reply! The screen freezes when creating a mesh, but also at mesh and run. So I do not get to see the mesh, nor the model with tensions etc. I guess it is my graphics card than, too bad for me. :-( Thanks anyway!
