I am new to Catia and cant seem to easily move around my detail and main views unless I have my display view frames turned on in properties/options.

I like to have my view frames on for positioning views around etc.. but they become a hinderance when their is a lot of views on the screen.

Is there a way of them only becoming visable when active?
or if not how do I move my views around with them turned off?

Thanks - Kevin

This used to bother me too, and I'd highlight each view, alt+enter to get to properties, and disable the view frame.

However I now have noticed the nice little button on the "Tools" toolbar that lets you toggle view frames on and off for all views, its called "Display view frame as specified for each view"

Hey Kevin,
one option you could use is Set Relative Position.
Right-click on the view (in the tree), select View Positioning/Set Relative Position.
Hope that helps.

Hi Albigger,

I have problems finding this "Tools" button for toggling view frames, in which release are you working?

Thanks,

Thanks Albigger,

I'm using R14, that explain a lot :)) but soon we should also upgrade to R16

Sounds like a useful tool, but it's not in R15 either.
