Concern: Medium voltage rural electric distribution line anchor corrosion control. If we have a wood pole with guy wire connected to the multi-grounded neutral and we want to minimize corrosion at the galvanized anchor, would it make any difference if a ground rod was connected at the same pole as the guy & anchor, or would it be better to have the closest ground rod at the next pole about 200 feet away? The grounds on this system average not less than 4 per mile of line & are copper-clad, & guy insulators are not allowed by RUS. Assume homogeneous soil. Thanks.

From RUS Bulletin 1724E-153
RUS recommends the installation of stainless steel or galvanized steel ground rods, or the replacement of existing copper ground rods with stainless steel or galvanized steel ground rods, instead of isolating down guys to mitigate the cathodic corrosion of anchors.
