divide area or mesh area

in case of shell thick model.(Turbogenerator foundation block type.)
Shall we divided area or mesh area,or BOTH?
TO find Real amplitude displacement.

Both methods yield same results. Choosing the Assign-Area-Mesh may be more convenient for the user as the elements are not broken into small ones. But the results will be exactly same.
