Dear all,
Is there any regulation in Europe that prohibits the use of dezincification resistant brass alloys in contact with Potable water?
We are facing a pitting corrosion failure with solenoid valves made of CuZn40Pb2 (CW617N) used in contact with unbottled drinking water. However when we contacted the supplier asking for DZR alloy, he informed that there is a regulation in US and Europe that prohibits the use of DZR brass alloys with potable water.
Thanks in advance and regards
