Hi,
Currently, we are working on one FEM analysis problem which completely constituted by the B31 beam element. The disturbed loading was created by CFD platform according to the coordinates of the integration point along each beam. Then we adopted dload subroutine to transfer the calculated loading to each beam. However, when we try to debug the subroutine, we found that the information of NPT variable passed in by Abaqus looks weird, such as 1,2 for each B31 beam. As we previously supposed, the B31 beam is a linear element, so it should only have one integration point located in the center of each B31 beam element. So the information of the NPT should be 1 as we previously thought. We have never encountered such a strange problem, and it would be great if someone could provide some insights and suggestions. Thank you very much.
Best regards,
Liyan
