I have a box that has undergone and passed the performance vibration tests of DO-160D Section 8. The box has never been tested for endurance (3hrs) vibration. The box is on many aircraft other than the one I wish to install it on (DC-10).

Do you know if an analysis can be performed based on similarity and service life to show that the box meets the endurance level tests of DO-160D?

Zbest,

To do the analysis based on similarity and service could take longer than the vibration test. Will this test be required for Certification? If so then the data that is to be used to show similarity i.e. test data, has to be owned by your company or the company that has the data in order to satisfy FAA requirements.
Where the box is to be used is also very important when certifying using similarity. Will it be in the same type of environment, wing, wheel well, fusalage etc. Also is this a mechanical or electrical device?
