I was wonding if anyone know of how fat a trailer and cab can pivet on the kingpin up and down for backing into a truck dock. what would help out the most is a drawing that shows a max of slopes in a truck dock.

The fork lifts that load the trailers are a limiting factor for the parked location of the trailer. Standard for elevating docks is +/- 2% with level grade between the axle locations preferred. The trailers can be cranked up for hitching but a 10% grade up and a 6% grade down from the stopped tractor is a good limit, (less in snow areas).

Thanks for the responce but I'm looking for a drawing that shows the maximum slope for a semi truck that backs into the dock. I have one more question dose anyone know the angle the cab vs trailer through the kingpin can go?

PELS link is great. I was going to suggest getting a copy of Kelly's Dock Handbook as well, but it is in the posted link. Great tips.
