Hi there,
I am new to Catia and am building an assembly within a product.
Across multiple skeleton parts I am continually instancing a part file as a Document Template, generating several hundred different sized components.
My question is - is there any way to re-link or power the instanced geometry once it has been generated within the product?
ie. - if the design changes greatly but still references the same Inputs, can i alter the original file and relink it or update it so that the assembly updates also? Updating 400 different components by manually would be absolute hell. The file needs this type of functionality.
I know it can be done (somewhat) due to a tutorial on GTWiki - called "Instantiate Document Template"
The tutorial is impossible to follow.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Im dying! Any info at all I would be eternally greatful!
Thanks
