I have a problem where i have a 3/8-24" stud that I need to mount to, but there is very little clearance for the tool to be used on a Nut. Is there any type of nut with a hex head?
I'm picturing like a coupling nut but one had has a hex or square head and a circular diameter so the installation tool diameter can be smaller than the outer diameter of the nut. Or something like a threaded standoff with one half having threads and the other allows for a tool. I'm hoping not to require custom part.

You could also look at a Kaynar type fastener with a reduced hexagon and a flange. They are typically 2 sizes of head smaller than a conventional hex nut.
