Hi,

I was wondering if Ansys has the capabilities of generating a mesh like the picture I have attached? I know that it is possible in ABAQUS.
A very awkward approach would be meshing individual areas with uniform mesh, and then constrain them together. I wonder if there is any better approach? I appreciate your helpful tips very much.

Your picture didn't come through. In general though, Ansys can generate a very high quality mesh given decent geometry and a knowledgeable user.

Hi Amin, you can do that with Ansys. Please look to:
“Creation of Transitional Pyramid Elements at an Interface”, in Ansys manual.
