Does anyone have any idea where I could get a "chain gypsy" and specs for one? I'm looking for one around 30cm pitch circle diameter.
If you don't know what a chain gypsy is, its a sprocket for lifting chain (as opposed to a sprocket for a roller chain), I've also seen it referred to as a "wildcat". Basically its a wheel with chain shape indentations in its surface. You find them in chain winches, chain blocks and hand chain actuators for things like roller doors and valves.
So far I've contacted several chain and lifting companies but no luck finding one that wasn't already inside a winch or device.
Anyway just thought I'd check to see if you'd experienced anything similar or know someone that has - I'm down to contacting valve manufacturers and boating supply stores now to find out where they get theirs!
Thankyou for your help
