Does anyone know how to enter Story Drift as an input value (if it is even possible at all) to STAAD? We have a project with given story drifts and have to design stairs with story drift included.

All I know is P/A and Mc/I

Not that I am aware of. Checking the manual (Sect. 5.31.2.16), it says: The story drift determination as explained in Section 12.8.6 of the ASCE 7-10 code is not implemented in STAAD.

I've seen people amplify load combinations by a calculated factor (to get the seismic drift) and note the combination as doing that.....but I am not aware of any automatic way of doing that in STAAD.

WARose,
I think Bagman is trying to implement forced displacements (move supports at floor level to mimic story drift). I don't know STAAD. RAM Elements has this capability.

Yes, STAAD has a enforced displacement command. For anyone who has STAAD, see example problem #24 in the manual. (I.e. click on the "Help" tab, then "contents", then the "search" tab.....and look for "enforced" or "example problem 24".)
