Hi,

Does IEC specifications/environment for gas compressor applications mandate armored cables be used on open cable trays?
If customer/end user specifications doesn't call out for gas compressor packager, is it matter of choice to apply or not to apply armored cables?
Does Area Class in IEC such as ZONE, GROUP dictate armored cables?

Sorry, i couldn't find existing basic question thread about it, if it exists please direct me.

Thank you and regards

In my opinion the safety installation of cables [armored or not] it is running in metal conduits provided with approved accessories as glands or else. However according to IEC 60079-14 in certain location you may use armored cables.
