Does Modbus or Bacnet remote annunciator meet NFPA 110?

I was wondering if anybody has the answer to whether you can use a Modbus or Bacnet remote annunciator for an emergency generator in a hospital to comply with NFPA requirements for remote indication? I would have concerns that if the network went down due to a power outage then the remote annunciator would not work.
