Maybe they are saying the motor is rated for 150 watts steady state, but is capable of 250%*150watts for short-term overload.

...or maybe it is just marketing speak with no basis in reality.

The Sherline machine they are probably comparing to has a 60W motor. 60 x 250% = 150w.
