Is it possible to put a dog leg in a dimension line, similar to an ordinate dimension in NX4? I have never seen it, but one of your users is convinced it it used to be available in the utility library of the user defined symbols?

Thanks guys.

Best regards

Recommended for you

Create User Defined Symbol of Dogleg and attach it to Dimension extension line, it works.
To create a User Defined Symbol you can do-
File->Utilities->Symbol Fonts... and select a .sbf file (You can create an empty .sbf file using notepad and save it to UGII directory (preferred), before selecting that file.)
Then create a New Symbol, give some name and select the dogleg lines and anchor point/s (You can create a dogleg by basic curves & select these lines for symbol creation)

Thanks man

I did tell the guy that this would be more than likely be the outcome, however he was convinced that there was NX functionality that would do the same.

Are you sure that he's not thinking of a 'Narrow' dimension (as shown below)?

NO he was convinced it was like a dog leg on an ordinate dimension, however I think he must be confusing it with something else. thanks for all the input though. :)

I've wanted to do this but never found a way.
A question ...
If I explore the 'User Defined Symbol' method, is this going to be associative to the feature being dimensioned?
