Hello,

I am trying to create a door openings but the dimension I am getting with the door is in inches but I already set the units to kN, m! Is there any way to change this? Also, regarding the placing of the doors/windows, is there any easy way to put them in desired location with pinpoint accuracy? Any help will greatly appreciated.

Regards,

There's a drop-down menu in the lower right of the screen that allows you to change the units you're presently working in instantly.

As far as pinpointing accuracy, I'll usually view the opening in elevation and then use Edit>Align Points/Lines/Edges... to get things exactly where I want them.

Are the openings the wrong size? If so, then you reposition the corner points using the Edit>Align Points/Lines/Edges... as previously stated. This is usually how I move my openings around.

I thought you just wanted to input them as meters rather than inches, my mistake.

Hello MarkHirschi,

No, you're right ,I really wanted the dimension to appear in doors in meters(I'm using "reshape objects", the problem is, when I click the door openings in the model, the dimension that appeared is in inches[as you can see in the previous attached file], while I already change the units in kN-m in the lower right corner of the screen). Is there any way, I can change the dimension of the door to appear in "meters"?

I'm not aware of this issue or a fix to it. You could try contacting support at support@csiberkeley.com
